Alexandria Board of Selectmen

July 17, 2008

Members Present:        Cindy Williams, Don Gangemi and Tom McGowan

The meeting came to order at 6:00 p.m. with representatives from 911 Mapping present to discuss the renumbering of The Ledges Condominiums.  They feel that there is too much liability in having all the units as 955 West Shore Rd., Unit ?.  They would like the addressing to be uniform.  Casey Gordon will coordinate efforts with Christie and letters will be mailed once all the street and number changes are confirmed.

Approval of Minutes:              The minutes of June 19 were tabled.

Department Heads:                 Christie gave a quick overview of the week’s activities and
assured the selectmen that budgets are being reviewed for
problem areas.

Items for Signature:                The following items were signed by the selectmen: 

                                                Order Form for Inventory forms for 2009

                                                Timber tax levies for William Robie, Sr. and Robert Fisher
Intents to Cut for Harold Haney and George Morrison

New Business:                        Preliminary Survey for Mundy Road:  the surveyor needs to know
where the public road ends; it was decided that it ends at the far end of the bridge in order that the bridge be eligible for funds if it were damaged due to flooding.

                                                Interview Timing:  A date was set for the selectmen to interview
the candidates for police chief. 

Old Business:                          All items are still being worked on

Adjournment:                          The meeting was adjourned at 7:45 p.m.
