Department Heads:
Christie and Jeff both gave updates on their respective departments. Jeff had a concern about the new sand policy and admitted that it was not working. He felt that morale was down due to having to refuse older property owners sand from the highway garage. A lengthy discussion ensued and Don Gangemi stated that it was up to Jeff’s discretion whether or not to allow sand to be taken from the highway garage. However, the standard is that sand is only available at the transfer station.

Old Business:
The financial policies were discussed and some suggested changes made.
Christie will distribute new ones as soon as the changes are made
New Business:
An application for employment at the transfer station was received, but there
is no position open at this time.
One bid on the old highway truck was received and rejected as it was not for
the minimum requested in the advertisement
Gift cards will be given again this year
Christie gave the selectmen information on a potential interest rate for the
bridge loan and also a breakdown of what the principal and interest would be
for the life of the loan.
No budget committee meeting was held this week.
