Work Session

Members Present:     Bob Bacon, Peg Reilly and Cindy Williams

Others Present:          Ann Hall, Christie Phelps, Larry Stickney

The work session came to order at 10:00 a.m. with all members present.

The selectmen met to finalize the mission statement for the police search committee, who is meeting next Wednesday.

Attached to this sheet are final versions of the mission statement, job description and employment contract which represent the decisions made during this session.  THESE ARE DRAFTS AND MAY BE AMENDED AS NECESSARY.

The salary range will be determined based on experience, but cannot exceed the amount budgeted for this year.

Bob will check to see if State Police will do a background check on the finalists.

Christie will contact Steve Savage, who had volunteered to serve on the committee, explaining that they need someone who is closer in proximity.  He is the chief in Plaistow, NH.

Peg asked if Bob had explained that mutual aid is back in force with Bristol.  Bob said he did.

Peg asked about the receivables and if they were discussed with Barbara.  Bob said that they were and Barbara assured everyone that the notices are being sent out according to law.  She is going to go to lien in July.

Christie said she needs ideas for the selectmen’s section of the newsletter.  The deadline is April 28.

The meeting was adjourned at approximately 11:45 a.m.

Respectfully submitted,

Christie Phelps
