Alexandria Board of Selectmen

Special Meeting

July 5, 2006

 

 

Members Present:                     Robert Bacon, Peg Reilly and Cindy Williams

 

Others Present:             Christie Phelps and Keith McBey

 

The meeting came to order at 8:30 a.m. with all members present.  The purpose of the meeting was to meet with Keith McBey of Bonnette, Page and Stone to finalize the contract for construction management on the new office building.

 

It was agreed that the following changes need to be made and were included Exhibit D.

 

1.                  All change orders will be in writing and submitted for approval as they happen; there will be no batching of change orders

2.                  Lien releases will be obtained by BPS (Bonnette, Page & Stone) prior to the payment of any subcontractors

3.                  Savings to be awarded to BPS from the not to exceed price of $764,399 was reduced from 50% to 25%

4.                  BPS will warranty all materials and labor from defect for a period of one year from the date of completion.

 

Keith told the selectmen that he will be back in touch with them within two weeks to finalize the remainder of the subcontractors.  He will also contact the office with regard to the groundbreaking.  Keith said he provide the selectmen’s office with copies of the subcontractor certificates of insurance.

 

Bob said that he may not be able to be present at tomorrow night’s meeting.

 

The meeting was adjourned by a vote of 3-0 at 9:30 a.m.
