Request for Bid
The Town of Alexandria is accepting bids on the following three projects to be completed on Washburn Road. Bids are due in Selectmens Office at 47 Washburn Road, Alexandria, NH 03222 by 4:00 p.m. on May 25, 2009. A pre-bid meeting will be held at 47 Washburn Rd. on May 12 at 10:00 a.m. A drawing of the projects area is available for viewing at the office.
Project 1: Remove 6 galv. pipes; install 60 of 30;310 of 24 pipe; remove 24 trees, plant 6 trees, install 2 precast headwalls; one catch basin; approx. 250 yds. E-stone; max. 4,080 of ditching
Project 2: Remove 13 pipes; install 200 of 18, 220 of 24, 280 of 36 pipe, 30 of 15 pipe; remove 12 trees; place approx. 1,000 yards E-stone; approx. 5,000 of ditching
Project 3: Length 5500; 6 pipe removals; install 1485 of 18, 290 of 24 40 of 30; 6 tree removals; 200 blast & road work; 5 basin installs; 700 yds. E-stone; 2,000 approx. ditch work (change in pipe due to ledge conditions at discretion of road agent)
Contractor will place pipes including stone built headwalls. All pipe installed will be HDPE. All materials will be supplied by Town of Alexandria. Contractors must supply Certificates of Insurance with bid. Any ledge removal will be considered under a change order. All work must be completed by November 1, 2009.
